Code of Conduct – Prevention of the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA)

At Pachamama Escapes, we reaffirm our commitment to responsible, ethical, and sustainable tourism.
As a registered travel agency in Peru, we fully comply with Law No. 28251 – Law Against Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, which criminalizes the acts of clients and facilitators involved in the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the tourism sector.

In accordance with this law, and with the Code of Conduct Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in Travel and Tourism (ESNNA) promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), we commit to the minimum obligations required of all tourism service providers to prevent and counteract these crimes.


📜 Minimum Control Commitments and Measures

Pachamama Escapes, including its legal representatives, directors, administrators, employees, and contractors, commits to:

  1. Refrain from offering, either openly or covertly, any tourism programs or promotions that involve the sexual exploitation of children or adolescents.
  2. Refrain from providing information to tourists, directly or through third parties, about places, establishments, or individuals involved in child sexual exploitation.
  3. Refrain from transporting or facilitating transportation for tourists to sites where the sexual exploitation of minors occurs, or from allowing minors to be taken to tourist accommodations or transport vehicles for such purposes.
  4. Refrain from providing vehicles or any means of transportation that could be used for child sexual exploitation or abuse.
  5. Prevent the entry of children or adolescents into hotels, lodgings, bars, or other establishments for the purpose of sexual exploitation or abuse.
  6. Implement internal controls to ensure no employee or collaborator promotes or facilitates sexual activity with minors.
  7. Report immediately to MINCETUR and competent authorities any known or suspected cases or locations linked to the sexual exploitation of minors, and ensure internal channels exist for such reports.
  8. Design and promote a company-wide policy to prevent and counteract all forms of child sexual exploitation within our operations and supply chain.
  9. Train all staff on the prevention of the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
  10. Inform all clients and travelers of the legal consequences of child sexual exploitation and abuse in Peru.
  11. Display visibly this Code of Conduct and related commitments in our offices and workspaces.

⚖️ Legal Notice

In accordance with Law No. 28251, Pachamama Escapes warns all travelers that the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors are criminal offenses in Peru, subject to severe criminal and administrative penalties under national law.
